Mother guilt.........we are all just doing our best
“The negative emotion of guilt can be paralysing.
A person can feel guilty for something they DIDN’T do or something they thought they DID.
Or for not doing ENOUGH for another person”
Every mother wants to be the very BEST for their child.
We set standards that sometimes are unrealistic, unattainable or simply too much!
So when we don’t or can’t meet these standards we feel GUILTY and may think that we are NOT the best mother.
I was riddled with Mother Guilt for years when my 3 children were young (and if not kept in check it would creep in the later years.)
WHAT DID I DO?
I decided to speak to each of my 3 daughters individually .
I spoke to their soul while they were sleeping
I told them I was sorry, that every day I was trying my best
I told them I loved them and would continue to be the best Mum I knew how to be.
I spoke from my heart to their little ones and asked for understanding.
It was a beautiful moment and it helped me to get up the next day and do my very best without the guilt.
WE ARE ALL DOING OUR BEST
